Tonight we went on a long great walk and it was awesome. We have some great walking trails around us and we put them to good use. It was so nice to not be walking in the horrible humidity or at the gym! Loved it! And... we are planning on doing some hiking this weekend at a state park! Don't worry... nothing has frozen over. I actually like hiking and we cannot wait! I'll have my phone with to get plenty of proof... I mean fun pictures!
Side note: I didn't look at my phone at ALL during the walk. It was over an hour. Doug had it in his pocket. I could hear the emails coming in... but I resisted. Ann and gang... aren't you so proud??

So.very.proud!!! Wow! You deserve some kind of national award or something. ;)
But truly, you are a woman after my own heart. I am not an outdoorsy type. I do love God's creation when the temperature and weather are perfect, and when I am well-fed and hydrated.
Have a great time hiking!!
Jenny without her phone? Are you serious? I am impressed. I always assumed that thing was permanently attached. I agree w/ Leila. A national award is in order (if you can make room on your desk for another one).
Yeah – DH definitely married an indoor girl as well. I’ve been hiking with DH twice in recent years. The first time I stepped on a live (but non-poisonous) snake. I was so tired I didn’t care, but freaked out about it a little later. The second time I got the only tick bite I have every had in my life which quickly developed into a suspicious rash. Even though lyme disease is rare in this area, he had to take me to the Dr, they put me on medication until the LD test results came back negative. I have offered to go hiking again, but I honestly think he’s too scared to take me outside every again :)
PS - I have weather envy.
I actually wondered if you were okay and where you were.....
OMG I'm about to fall over in a dead faint.
ha ha. That's great! DH and I enjoy going on hikes and walks but he sometimes has to drag me out first. I lack motivation to get going sometimes but once I do, I'm glad I did.
I finally mailed your book yesterday (sorry!). Thanks for commenting. Have a great weekend!
Oh my, it sounds like barriors are being overcome! Way to go Jenny! I didn't know that about you and the phone, but it sounds like a great step in the right direction! My DH and I went for a long hike yesterday as well and it was nice to just get out and enjoy the sunshine. It sounds like our weather situations are similar. Enjoy the beautiful weather and you never know, in another month or two, you might be caring for injured birds or something of that nature! You never know! Conversions are beautiful things! :)
I'll sit indoors with you anytime! I'm not an outside girl nor is Che. Maggie loves being outside though.
We went out again tonight... bug bites!!!! Ugh! I knew I disliked nature! Ha ha! Just kidding... this girl does like her air conditioning!
And JBTC... I'm all about conversions... but if anyone see's me helping injured birds, check my temp and take me to the hospital! He he! :) I guess you never know though!
We are still going hiking tomorrow... and Monday! Say a prayer for me!
Have fun on your hikes!
I'm so impressed with your restraint!!!!
And yes, although I love being outside I HATE BUGS! I know that they serve a function, but could they just leave me alone????
